Below we have 4 separate things written by Srila Prabhupada.
 
1) The first one clearly defines  our  real problems. Defining a problem clearly, is the only way to begin to solve a problem. The Srimad Bhagavatam does this so nicely for us with the verse .."Dharmasya apavargyasya.."
2) The second one explains why the "real problems" cannot ever be solved-even if we take to bhakti yoga-- if we allow our senses to run rampant and wild, or uncontrolled.
3) This one gives us a nice  and concise explanation of the only solution to all lifes problems--pure devotional service. And even though that is rarely achieved, the solution to that quandry is given in the last section.
4) Pure devotion and service to the Lord can easily be achieved by pleasing His pure devotees.
This is the open secret.

   Therefore Krsna gives the essence of knowledge, janma... Jnani
means one who can see "What is the problem of my life."
Janma-mrtyu-jara-vyadhi-duhkha-dosanudarsanam. This is the problem.
Therefore dharma means apavargyasya, how to avoid birth, death, old
age and disease.
Apavarga. Pavarga. Pavarga... Those who are educated
in India, they know that pa-varga, ka-varga, ca-varga, ta-varga. So
here it is pa-varga: "pa, pha, ba, bha, ma." So pa means parisrama,
laboring. And pha means the hard laboring so that foam comes out of
the mouth. Pa, pha, ba. Ba means baffled. In spite of all laboring
hard, life is baffled
. Pa, pha, ba, bha, and bha, bhaya. Bhaya means
always fearful--"What will happen next
?" And ma. Ma means mrtyu.[death] So in
this way, struggling--pa, pha, ba, bha, ma--that is called pavarga. So
here it is said, dharmasya hy apavargyasya. Apa. Apa means just to
make nullified this life of pavarga.
That is, means, liberation, to
come to the original position, spiritual life. Dharmasya hi
apavargyasya na arthayopakalpate. Not that you go to church and temple
and pray ...  give me some money. I am in distressed condition.
Please..." God can do that. It is not very difficult. He is doing
already. The birds and beasts, they do not go to church or temple, but
they have no problem. They are living very happy. So that is not the
aim of life. The aim of life is how to regain our God consciousness,
or Krsna consciousness, and love Him. Because we do not love God,
therefore we have been obliged to love maya, Satan
. This is our
present position. Therefore in this chapter, in beginning, is sa vai
pumsam paro dharma yato bhaktir adhoksaje. There are different types
of religious system, but that type of religious system is first class
which teaches the follower how to love God. That is first class, not
to go to the church: "Give me my daily bread" or "Please minimize my
troubles of life. Give me some money." No. ....

   So this bhakti-yoga, Krsna consciousness, is so nice that if you
take it very seriously, if you enter into the mystery of this
bhakti-yoga... It is not all mystery, it is very open. Then naturally,
param drstva nivartate.[higher taste] And that is required. Vairagya.
 
                          vasudeve bhagavati
                       bhakti-yogah prayojitah
                        janayaty asu vairagyam
                       jnanam ca yad ahaitukam
 
We have discussed this verse. So our only request is that don't take
this Krsna consciousness movement as some sentimental religious
propaganda. No, no. It is not religious. It is scientific. It is to
save the human society from gliding down to the abominable condition.
Adanta-gobhir visatam tamisram punah punas carvita-carvananam.
Bhagavata says, adanta-gobhih. Na te viduh svartha-gatim hi visnum.
Adanta. The verse is: matir na krsne paratah svato va. Matir na krsne
paratah svato va mitho 'bhipadyeta grha-vratanam
. Those who are
grha-vrata, means simply materialistic or simply this life, this body,
"I am this body, and the offsprings of this body, they are my kinsmen.
I have to maintain them," or expanding: "They are my kinsmen, they are
my family men, they are my nation," this is called grhamedhi. So such
grhamedhi, matir na krsne, they cannot understand what is Krsna
consciousness
. Matir na krsne paratah svato va.
   Paratah means by instruction or superior persons. Paratah. Svatah,
by reading himself. Mitho 'bhipadyeta, or holding big, big meeting.
They cannot understand. Why? Because grha-vrata. Grha-vratanam. What
is the business of grha-vrata?
Adanta-gobhir visatam tamisram punah
punas carvita-carvananam. By being unable to control the senses,
creating another body. Another body, the sense gratification.
Either
as god or demigod or as dog or as hog or as human being, as tree or
insect. The business is ahara-nidra-bhaya-maithuna. Punah punas
carvita-carvananam. Punah punah. The same thing he is doing. He does
not know the real business is how to get out of this entanglement of
pavarga, repetition of birth, death, old age and disease.
He does not
know. There is no science, there is no education
. There is only
education in the Bhagavad-gita. Therefore you have to, if you want to
save the world, if you want to save the human civilization, you have
to make to this proposition of Bhagavad-gita, learn it scientifically,
and make your life successful. Thank you very much. (End)
3) NOD 1          Characteristics of Pure Devotional Service 
   In the above statement by Kapiladeva from Srimad-Bhagavatam, the
actual position of a pure devotee is described, and the primary
characteristics of devotional service are also defined. Further
characteristics of devotional service are described by Rupa Gosvami
with evidences from different scriptures. He states that there are six
characteristics of pure devotional service, which are as follows:
   (1) Pure devotional service brings immediate relief from all kinds
of material distress.
   (2) Pure devotional service is the beginning of all auspiciousness.
   (3) Pure devotional service automatically puts one in
transcendental pleasure.
   (4) Pure devotional service is rarely achieved.
   (5) Those in pure devotional service deride even the conception of
liberation.
   (6) Pure devotional service is the only means to attract Krsna.
   Krsna is all-attractive, but pure devotional service attracts even
Him. This means that pure devotional service is even transcendentally
stronger than Krsna Himself, because it is Krsna's internal potency.
4) SB 3.29.8 Purport-  Explanation of Devotional Service by Lord Kapila
To act under the direction of a bona fide spiritual master with a motive to satisfy the Supreme Personality of Godhead is pure devotional service. But if one has a motive for
personal sense gratification, his devotional service is manifested
differently.....
